Privacy Policy

Single Journey Travel Co., Ltd. · Effective Date: 1 January 2026

Single Journey Travel Co., Ltd. (“Company”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your personal data with the highest standards of confidentiality and security. This Privacy Policy sets out how we collect, use, store, and protect information you provide when booking our travel services — in full compliance with the Thailand Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA) and internationally recognised data protection principles.

By booking or engaging with our services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.

📋 1. Data We Collect

To deliver professional travel services, we collect only the data that is genuinely necessary:

  • Identity Data: Full name, nationality, and passport or government-issued ID details. These are required for mandatory travel insurance and, where applicable, for certain attraction tickets or visa-assisted services.

  • Contact Data: Email address, mobile phone number (WhatsApp preferred), and accommodation details for pickup coordination.

  • Financial Data: Payment information is processed exclusively via PCI-DSS-compliant, secure third-party gateways (e.g., Wise, Stripe, Rezgo). We do not store, retain, or have access to your full card or bank account details.

  • Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device type, and anonymised usage data collected via cookies when you visit our website (singlejourneytravel.com). See Section 7 for cookie details.

  • Tour-Specific Data: Dietary requirements, allergies, medical conditions relevant to tour safety, or accessibility needs — disclosed voluntarily by you and used solely for service delivery.

🎯 2. Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data only for the following specific, legitimate purposes:

  • Booking Management: Processing reservations, issuing confirmations, and managing payment records.

  • Service Delivery: Coordinating with local guides, transport providers, boat operators, and third-party suppliers to deliver your specific itinerary.

  • Legal Compliance: Activating mandatory accident insurance as required by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and the Department of Tourism.

  • Communication: Sending essential service updates, pre-tour instructions, and responding to your inquiries.

  • Safety: Contacting emergency services or next of kin if required during a tour.

  • Marketing (Consent-Based Only): Photos or videos taken during your tour may be used for promotional purposes. You may opt out at any time (see Section 6).

Legal basis: Contractual necessity, legitimate interest, legal obligation, and, where applicable, your explicit consent.

🤝 3. Disclosure of Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share information only as strictly necessary:

  • Third-Party Suppliers: Local transport providers, boat operators, venues, and activity partners — only the minimum data required to deliver your booked service.

  • Insurance Providers: Passenger details required to activate mandatory accident coverage during tours.

  • Payment Processors: Secure gateways to facilitate transaction processing. These providers maintain their own data protection standards.

  • Regulatory Authorities: Only when legally compelled by Thai law, court order, or government regulation, and only to the extent required.

All third parties with whom we share data are bound by confidentiality obligations and applicable data protection laws.

🔒 4. Data Security & Retention

  • Security: We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your data from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse, including encrypted communications and access controls.

  • Retention: We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Policy, and in accordance with applicable Thai legal, accounting, and regulatory requirements (typically no longer than 3 years after your last engagement with us).

  • Deletion: Upon expiry of the retention period, or upon your verified request, personal data will be securely deleted or anonymised.

⚖️ 5. Your Legal Rights under PDPA

Under the Thailand Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA), you have the following rights:

  • Right to Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

  • Right to Rectification: Request correction of any inaccurate or incomplete data.
